What is Istikhara Online ?

Istikhara online is a prayerful supplication seeking guidance from Allah (God) in making a decision or choosing between multiple options when a person is uncertain about the best course of action.

The word “Istikhara” itself means seeking goodness and guidance from Allah. It is a practice deeply rooted in Islamic tradition and is considered a means of seeking clarity and divine intervention. The process of performing Istikhara involves a specific prayer, known as Salat al-Istikhara, and sincere intentions. Here is a general outline of how Istikhara is performed:

Pure Intentions: Before performing Istikhara, one must have a clear and sincere intention to seek Allah’s guidance in making a decision. Performing Ritual Purity (Wudu): It is essential to be in a state of ritual purity by performing Wudu (ablution) before commencing the prayer.

Recitation of Istikhara Prayer:

The Istikhara prayer involves two Rak’ahs (units of prayer). In each Rak’ah, one discusses Surah Al-Fatiha (the principal section of the Quran) trailed by a particular request known as the Istikhara dua. The Istikhara dua is a request requesting that Allah guide you towards the best choice and to make it simple assuming it is great for you, and to dismiss it in the event that it’s not to your greatest advantage.

Consultation with Heart:

After performing the prayer, it’s recommended to consult your heart and feelings without any bias or preconceived notions. Pay attention to any inclination or feeling you might have about the decision you’re seeking guidance for.

It’s important to remember that the answer to Istikhara might not come in the form of a dream or a clear sign but rather through circumstances, feelings, or a change in one’s heart.

Making the Decision:

Based on the Istikhara prayer and your subsequent feelings or circumstances, proceed with making the decision you feel inclined towards, trusting in Allah’s guidance.

Acceptance of the Outcome: Understand that the Istikhara prayer is a means of seeking guidance, but the outcome might not always be immediate or apparent. Accept whatever the outcome might be, trusting in Allah’s wisdom.

It’s essential to approach Istikhara with sincerity, patience, and trust in Allah’s plan. While seeking divine guidance, one should also take practical steps, seek advice from knowledgeable individuals, and weigh the pros and cons of the decision they are considering.
